We are not able to reconcile ourselves to God. He completely reconciled all things, including us, to Himself by the work of Christ, resulting in peace. He makes us new creatures on the inside while we are still in the same decaying sinful bodies. We are being changed from one state to another as we keep faithing: ungodly made godly, sinners made saints, enemies turned allies, aliens brought close, strangers no longer estranged, and far off brought near.
