The Old and New Testament have to be understood as one continuous narrative of God’s unfolding plan of redemption for fallen humanity. There are many shadows and types that point to Christ and reveal the order in which things had to happen for us to be redeemed. The offerings lay out what Christ had to be in order to fulfill the law as the Offering, the Offerer, and the Priest.
