The book of Daniel is necessary in order to understand the symbolism used in Revelation. Daniel starts with a bird's eye view and zooms in closer and closer, concerning his city (Jerusalem) and his people (the Jews). Daniel tells of the many horns of power that rise and fall throughout history. The last "little horn" will be Antichrist. The precision of the prophecy lets us know God is in control.
