Evil can be blatant but is often very subtle. The Bible provides many examples in the Old and New Testaments to help us to recognize evil when we encounter it. Christ’s response to the temptation from the devil is the example to follow; we are to fight evil with the word of God. His power is greater than any other power that comes against us.
