Christ came into the world as flesh through the seed of David. Paul states that Jesus was “declared” the Son of God. The Greek word translated in Romans 1:4 as “declared” is where we get our English word for horizon. Like the natural horizon where the sun meets the earth, we can only see up to the horizon but there is much more beyond. Christ is revealed to us as Son of God within our horizon, and yet there is even more beyond that horizon in the things eternal.
