As a footnote to the previous Sunday message, this is a word study on the two words translated as crown in the New Testament. In the gospels, “Stephanos” is used to describe the crown of thorns. Thereafter, it is used to describe a crown of victory. “Diadema” is a crown of royalty and used on only three occasions. Pastor Scott references Word Studies in the Greek New Testament, Volume 3 by Kenneth Wuest. The admonition in Revelation to not let any man steal your crown shows that we must be vigilant and understand there is an ongoing battle to be taken seriously.
